Stigler Racing

Formula-style DIY sim racing wheel

Custom-built hardware, Arduino controls, and a live touchscreen dashboard — documented open for builders to experiment and improve.

About

Born from a passion for sim racing — built piece by piece.

Stigler Racing grew out of a simple idea: I love sim racing, so I started building my own rig. Step by step I made more of it myself — the rig itself, the pedals, harness tensioners, bass shakers, and eventually this formula-style wheel with Arduino controls, a touchscreen SimHub dashboard, RGB shift lights, and paddles.

I figured someone else might get something out of these builds too, so I share the files and progress on GitHub. Development is paused / work in progress — not plug-and-play, but open for anyone to explore, remix, and improve. Licensed CC BY-NC 4.0 (non-commercial).

Project

Almost everything is there — the next leap is a proper PCB.

Theformula-style-simracing-wheel repo already covers a lot: 3D-print parts (STL), carbon/base-plate DXF cuts, the assembled STEP model, firmware for the wheel and the touchscreen display, wiring references, and photos. Buttons, rotaries, paddles, RGB shift lights, and SimHub sync are in place — it works as a DIY build, even if assembly docs and print optimization are still incomplete.

What would take it to the next level is a dedicated PCB instead of the current hand-wired approach. If that sounds like your kind of problem, you’re welcome to open a pull request — designs, firmware cleanups, docs, and build feedback are all appreciated.
